All of a sudden very nervous about this weekend's CTR.
Should not be surprised! I always do this. Cheerfully focused and at peace with whatever happens during the weeks or months of practice and preparation. Cheerfully focused and at peace with whatever happens upon arrival at the event in question. Totally wall-climbing nuts for the three-to-seven days prior, that weird in-between phase when it's too late to add anything to your performance-to-be and too soon to tell whether what you have to go on is going to be enough.
Also, it has been a while since I've done something totally new with a horse.
Luckily, my partner does not appear to be feeling any nerves:

You will do great!

ReplyDeleteYou're going to have so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys! Making my final shopping list -- turns out there was some cope-by-planning left to do, after all! Happier Hannah as a result. :)

ReplyDeleteGood for you... shopping to cope, it'll work in a pinch.
